When you are viewing a shipment, you have the option to view its Status, Alerts, Reports, or Details. “Status” is the default option; if you are do not see your shipment’s graphs, click “Status” to view all of the graphs that are associated with that shipment.
The main screen displays a map of your shipment’s route. For more information about the map, see the section on Interacting with the Map. The left side of the screen displays data and graphs associated with your shipment.
Reading the Graphs
Before opening any graphs, be sure to select the date or date range in which you are interested by clicking on the calendar pull-down selector on the top of the screen, and either selecting the Full Shipment Duration or a custom date range. You can also scroll though exact timestamps by clicking on the arrows on either side of the currently selected time and date on the left side of the screen. Note that data is displayed in the time zone that the computer is set to. This may not be the same as the time zone in which the data was collected.
Once you have verified that you are looking at the data from the correct time, you can click on any of the data streams along the left side of the screen to expand the graph. Once the graph is expanded, you can explore the data along the selected date range. You can also change the selected data range at any time by clicking on the calendar pull-down selector on the top of the screen.
Shipment Data
The first two graphs indicate the remaining distance and time to destination, which is calculated automatically based on the Ship To location for the shipment.
Sensor Data
You can access the following data streams from the device sensors:
Units |
Interpretation Tips |
|
Temperature |
°F/°C |
Temperature fluctuations may mean the shipment has been removed from the container or other insulation. Compare temperature data to expected temperature settings and/or local weather forecasts. |
Humidity |
% |
Humidity fluctuations may mean the shipment has been removed from the container or other insulation. Typical comfortable outdoor humidity levels are around 40%, but expected humidity can vary significantly based on location. |
Pressure |
psi |
Pressure fluctuations could indicate changes in altitude as well as changes in the pressure of the container or other packaging materials. |
Light |
lux |
Light will fluctuate based on time of day if the shipment is exposed to the outdoors. Sudden fluctuations in light may indicate that a shipment has been moved into or out of a dark container. |
Motion |
G's |
This data stream indicates any changes in acceleration experienced in transit. Spikes in motion activity may indicate that a shipment came to a sudden stop or fall, or experienced some other sudden movement. Read our Tracker FAQ: Shock, Orientation, Motion |
Battery |
% |
This data stream indicates the battery life as a percentage. Battery life will decrease slowly over time, and will decrease more sharply with each transmission. Once battery life is below a certain threshold, it will stop transmission and maintain low battery life for as long as possible before being recharged. |
Orientation |
(none) |
The three data streams display change in orientation in the X, Y, and Z planes. A graphical representation on the right side of the screen helps you interpret what the orientation looks like. Changes in orientation may indicate that the shipment has been jostled or moved around. |
Sensor Units
Data can be viewed in U.S. Standard Units, Metric Units, or Custom units. To configure your units settings, navigate to Profile Settings, scroll down to Sensor Units and click “Manage” on the right side of the screen. Select the units in which you would like data to be displayed and click “Save”.
